Holy fuck, I just realized this.

The teenage mutant ninja turtles were ordinary turtles who got mixed up in some crazy green slime shit and turned into badasses but are still dependent on Splinter. They are a chemically tainted welfare generation. They fight Shredder, a demon crazed by greed who cuts bystanders down. They also fought against corrupt politicians and cops who helped him. But they only use violence against violence, in defense of the innocents. They try to clean up the city, street by street, block by block. And they’re against drug dealers. The TMNT are rising to the call of the helpless. They’re soldiers of the Firestorm. Holy shit.
